# 5.1 What is a MemeKey?

#### What is a MemeKey?

A **MemeKey** is a tradable digital asset that represents your on-chain support for a specific meme project on CoreSky. When users vote for a meme, they are essentially minting a MemeKey linked to that meme, which can then be traded on the CoreSky platform. Each MemeKey is:

* Tied to one specific meme project
* Tradable on CoreSky’s internal bonding curve system
* Directly linked to the meme’s airdrop and ranking performance

MemeKeys are a core asset in the CoreSky ecosystem that bridge community engagement, speculation, and airdrop qualification.
